Meet The Coach: Brigette Serfaty
Brigette Serfaty
The Happy PharmD
Brigette Serfaty is a pharmacist/coach/leader/teacher with a passion for helping pharmacists create space for what matters most – including their own well-being. With more than 30 years of pharmacy experience, she knows firsthand the toll that overwork, stress and overwhelm have on bodies, minds and spirits. That’s why she started her coaching practice in 2017 to share well-being and resilience strategies that fit into busy lives to combat the burnout that she saw all around her in corporate healthcare. She holds coaching certifications in Positive Intelligence, Sparketypes, Integrative Health, Lifestyle Medicine, NLP and is also certified in yoga, yoga therapy, mindfulness, hypnosis and TimeLine Therapy.
Brigette’s coaching is focused on helping clients cut through self-sabotage and inertia to move toward what they really want with strategies to move forward in a way that sticks. She loves helping Happy PharmD clients uncover the work that lights them up and creates the impact they crave.
Brigette’s day job is as pharmacy practice faculty at the University of Arkansas where she teaches lifestyle medicine and nuclear pharmacy and is part of the UAMS Mindfulness team and master facilitator in interprofessional education. Prior to joining the faculty in 2020, she spent 27 years in a variety of leadership positions in nuclear pharmacy quality and safety, workers’ comp pharmacy benefits and as a staff nuclear pharmacist, manager and radiation safety officer. She’s triple board-certified in lifestyle medicine, nuclear pharmacy and health & wellness coaching.
Outside of work, she’s a passionate home cook who delights in time spent outside walking, hiking desert trails or playing on or in water. Her happy place is a yoga mat, rowing machine, paddleboard or Pilates reformer. She and her husband, Joe, have 4 grown children — 3 x 22 year old girls and a 31 year old son. They love road trips, mountain air and being with their kids, friends and extended family.
